Warren L. Cargal, M.A., L.Ac., Dipl. Acu., Clinic Director

Warren L. Cargal, M. A., L. Ac. is a licensed acupuncturist and herbalist and also a diplomat with the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. He has practiced Chinese medicine for over 10 years in the fields of obstetrics, gynecology and internal medicine and has helped hundreds of men and women with fertility issues. He maintains an active clinic practice in Atlanta Ga.
Cargal attended the Jung Tao School of Classical Chinese Medicine. He has a Master in Transpersonal Psychology from Westbrook University and he completed a four year training program in body-orientated psychotherapy at the Core Energetic Institute. He completed a two-year training program in Human Sexuality at the Institute of Human Abilities and taught for four years at the Barbara Brennan School of Healing. He has spent hundreds of post-graduate hours in Chinese herbology, nutrition and endocrine education.
Cargal is a member of the American Association of Oriental Medicine and the Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine alliance. He is a past Treasurer of the Georgia State Oriental Medicine Association and serves on the current Board of Directors.

Mariryan Heschmeyer, M.S., L.Ac., Dipl. Ac., D.O.M.

Mariryan Heschmeyer graduated from the University of Florida in 2000 with a degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology. After one year in a doctorate program at Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida she decided to pursue a different avenue. In 2002 she enrolled in the nationally accredited Dragon Rises College of Oriental Medicine in Gainesville Fl. Studying under the world renowned Leon Hammer, M.D and his Shen-Hammer pulse system she graduated 2nd in her class. She is now nationally certified after receiving her diplomat in Oriental Medicine and holds a Georgia acupuncture license.

Jennifer S. Savage, M.S., L.Ac, Dipl. O.M.

Jennifer Savage L.Ac. is a board certified Acupuncturist in Georgia and California. She is nationally certified in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbology. She graduated with a Masters of Science degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine from one of the top schools in the country, The American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine (ACTCM), located in San Francisco. ACTCM houses many qualified instructors from China and a public clinic that sees more than 1500 patients a month. Some of the people she has studied with include: John Steinke, L. Ac., a sports medicine acupuncturist that worked for the Raiders, Bob Levine, L. Ac., a pulse diagnosis specialist and Mark Frost, L. Ac., a specialist in mental and emotional issues. Recently she has just moved her practice from California. She is also a certified Hatha Yoga instructor and holds an undergraduate degree from UGA.

Maureen H. Vellia, DC

Maureen H. Vellia, DC is a Chiropractor and has been in practice for 10 years. She is a graduate of Life College. Dr Vellia has studied under Dr John Bandy and is certified in Applied, Clinical and Educational Kinesiology. She is in her second year of training in Acupuncture and Chinese herbology. Her training also includes functional endocrinology and auricular therapy. Her approach is to treat the physical symptoms with consideration of the emotional and nutritional needs of her patients.
