Product Description

INDOLE FORTE

Combines protective benefits of indole-3-carbinol, diindolylmethane, and other indoles

60 CAPSULES

Dietary indole compounds as found in broccoli, cabbage, and other cruciferous vegetables exert a strong protective effect on tissues such as breast, cervix, and prostate that are most susceptible to the effects of undesirable estrogen metabolites, such as 16-alpha-hydroxyestrone. Indole compounds favorably influence steroid hormone metabolism and help rebalance estrogen in favor of 2-hydroxyestrone, a protective estrogen metabolite. Dietary indoles also stimulate liver detoxification enzymes, protect DNA, and regulate cell cycle progression. Indole-3-carbinol (I3C), the most prominent dietary indole, readily breaks down in the presence of stomach acid into diindolylmethane (DIM) and other associated indole compounds that are subsequently absorbed. Indole Forte contains I3C, DIM, and other indoles for broad protection.

Other Ingredients:

Vegetarian capsule (hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, water), microcrystalline cellulose, ascorbyl palmitate, and silicon dioxide.

Indole Forte contains a mixture of two important dietary indoles, indole-3-carbinol (I3C) and diindolylmethane (DIM). Since I3C undergoes biochemical transformation to related indole metabolites, broad-spectrum indoles may be present upon ingestion.

1 capsule, 1 to 2 times daily or as directed by a healthcare professional.

FAQs

What is Indole Forte?

Indole Forte is a mixture of dietary indole compounds found in broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, turnips, and other cruciferous vegetables. This specific group of phytonutrients supports healthy tissues of the breast, cervix, and prostate and may also support estrogen balance, detoxification enzymes of the liver, and exert other cell-protective benefits in both men and women.

Why is estrogen balance and metabolism important?

Maintaining estrogen balance and efficient estrogen metabolism is essential to preserving healthy tissues such as those of the breast, cervix, and prostate. Xenobiotics (substances foreign to the body) such as pesticides, poor diet, and genetic factors can shift the ratio and presence of estrogen metabolites in the body, encouraging dominance of less desirable estrogen metabolites, such as 16-alpha-hydroxyestrone. Research suggests that dietary indoles, as found in broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, and other cruciferous vegetables, may exert a protective effect on tissues of the breast, cervix, and prostate by supporting the shifting the balance of estrogens to the more favorable metabolites.

How do indole compounds protect estrogen-sensitive tissues?

Research suggests that dietary indoles, as found in broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, and other cruciferous vegetables, may support estrogen-responsive tissues of the breast, cervix, and prostate by encouraging a shift from less desirable estrogen metabolites (such as 16-alpha-hydroxyestrone) to the more favorable and protective ones like 2-hydroxyestrone.

What is the difference between I3C, DIM, and other indoles?

I3C is a major dietary indole compound in cruciferous vegetables with important cell- and estrogen metabolism-supporting actions. Diindolylmethane (DIM) is a breakdown product of I3C. Research suggests that DIM may be responsible for many of the beneficial actions attributed to I3C. Indole Forte provides a spectrum of indole compounds to support estrogen balance, detoxification enzymes of the liver, and exert other cell-protective benefits in both men and women.

How is Indole Forte different from other indole supplements?

Unlike some indole supplements that contain only I3C or DIM, Indole Forte contains a spectrum of indole compounds. Each capsule supplies 400 mg of total dietary indoles.

Who should take Indole Forte?

Indole Forte contains a mixture of dietary indole compounds found in broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, turnips, and other cruciferous vegetables. This specific group of phytonutrients supports healthy tissues of the breast, cervix, and prostate and may also support estrogen balance, detoxification enzymes of the liver, and exert other cell-protective benefits in both men and women.

How much Indole Forte should I take?

Take 1 or 2 capsules with food per day or as directed by a healthcare professional.

What results can I expect from Indole Forte?

The phytonutrient compounds in Indole Forte support healthy tissues of the breast, cervix, and prostate and may also support estrogen balance, detoxification enzymes of the liver, and exert other cell-protective benefits in both men and women.
