- Improves memory and mental clarity.
How Avipaxin Works
Avipaxin by NeuroScience Inc contains Huperzine A, which helps inhibit acetylcholinesterase, the enzyme which metabolizes acetylcholine. Avipaxin supports normal brain function by utilizing acetylcholine and the cholinergic anti-inflammatory pathway to decrease elevated pro-inflammatory cytokine levels.
Acetylcholine levels can be beneficial for learning, memory, and attention. When acetylcholine binds to its receptors expressed on cytokine-producing cells, secretion of pro-inflammatory cytokines is reduced. Avipaxin increases acetylcholine levels. In addition, the afferent fibers of the vagus nerve utilize acetylcholine to signal the brain that pro-inflammatory cytokines are elevated. Afferent vagal signals result in activation of the HPA axis and release of the anti-inflammatory hormone, cortisol, from the adrenal glands.
NeuroScience Avipaxin also contains a-Glyceryl Phosphoryl Choline (a-GPC). These ingredients supply choline and acetyl groups, respectively, for acetylcholine synthesis. Carnitine also transports fatty acids within mitochondria to support energy levels.
