Ora-Probiotic provides 3 billion CFU per tablet of the beneficial bacteria Streptococcus salivarius BLIS K12, Lactobacillus salivarius, Lactobacillus plantarum, Lactobacillus rhamnosus, Lactobacillus reuteri and Bifidobacterium lactis. S. salivarius is the predominant bacterial species in the human mouth. It has been detected in breast milk and is used in the production of certain fermented dairy products. Each tablet provides a minimum of 1 billion CFU S. salivarius BLIS K12. Studies indicate that regular supplementation supports a normal microflora balance in the oral cavity, nasopharynx, throat and adenoid tissue. Inaddition to competing for nutrients and attachment sites, it also produces two powerful microbial defense proteins, Salivaricin A and Salivaricin B. Furthermore, research indicates that S. salivarius BLIS K-12 supports healthy immune system function at the genetic level, promoting healthy cytokine production, epithelial cell function, cell development and cell signaling. It may also promote healthy breath by supporting a healthy microflora balance on the tongue. Similar support for healthy microflora balance, respiratory tract health and microbial defense in the oral cavity has been revealed with L. plantarum, L. rhamnosus, L. salivarius and B. lactis, while L. reuteri promotes healthy cytokine production in the mouth and gum tissue.

In order to provide you with the highest quality and viable products, we will no longer be shipping our refrigerated products on Thursday or Friday. Each order is shipped with ice packs in a reusable insulated box. All orders for these products placed on either Thursday or Friday will be held and shipped UPS 2-Day service on Monday. Orders can be separated at request of the customer by calling us directly, and the refrigerated product will be shipped separately the following Monday. Orders placed on Thursday may be shipped overnight for Friday delivery at an additional cost to the customer.
