Ayu-Dep is a proprietary blend that is based on the herb Crocus sativus, or saffron. Saffron has been used since antiquity for culinary, cosmetic purposes. Saffron finds many uses in Ayurvedic, Unani, Chinese and Tibetan traditions. Saffron has mood supporting effects, and was used extensively by Mogul kings of India for the same purpose. Saffron is known to enhance memory and was also used for enhanced sexual pleasure.

Withania somnifera (Ashwgandha), Centella asiatica, Bacopa monnieri, and Mucuna pruriens are considered to be good for supporting normal brain function and classified as Rasayanas. Rasayanas are considered to support the nervous system and promote tranquility. Berberis aristata supports normal neurotransmitter functions.
