Feature Summary
Inspir-Action consists of a comprehensive combination of nutrients and botanicals to support healthy respiratory function. N-acetyl-L-cysteine (NAC) has the ability to break disulfide bonds, which helps maintain healthy mucus consistency. NAC has also been shown to help maintain healthy glutathione and sulfotransferase levels already within the normal range, support healthy function of the NF-kB pathway, and support healthy immune function.7 - 10 NAC is involved in antioxidant processes in lung tissues.
Proteolytic enzymes may help support healthy viscosity of mucus secretions.11 Marshmallow helps maintain healthy mucus membranes, with mucilaginous and bio-adhesive properties attributed to polysaccharides extracted from the root.12 English ivy extract helps maintain healthy beta-2-adrenergic bronchial function, supporting smooth bronchial musculature and maintaining surfactant factors.13,14 Extracts of mullein, wild cherry, and horehound similarly have a long history of use in respiratory support. These ingredients complement this formula with a unique combination of botanicals and nutrients to help support healthy lung tissue, support healthy function of bronchial smooth muscle, and maintain healthy mucus consistency.15
