OPC - behind the term is not just a substance, but a whole group of valuable plant substances. The so-called oligomeric proanthocyanidins (OPC) are counted among the polyphenols and can widely be found in the plant kingdom, particularly abundantly in outer plant parts - such as bark or shells - but also in the core. An excellent OPC source are grape seeds and grape skins in particular. Consumption of grapes, grape seeds and products thereof has been linked to many health benefits. Proanthocyanidins are in the first place very strong antioxidants - 20 times more powerful than vitamin C. Proanthocyanidins protect against oxidative damage and block nitrosamines from forming. Many studies have shown that grape seed proanthocyanidins have a cardioprotective effect. They support healthy platelet function, blood flow and prevent the oxidation of LDL cholesterol.

OPC POLYMAX Formula - what is it?

OPC POLYMAX Formula is a blend from grape seed extract, grape extract, green tea extract, pomegranate extract and olive leaf extract. Grape seeds and grape skins in particular are regarded as excellent OPC sources. OPC POLYMAX Formula delivers a minimum of 30 mg OPC and 250 mg polyphenols per capsule.
