Description
Bright Eye Rehmannia is a variation of the classic Kidney strengthening formula Liu Wei Di Huang Wan (Six Flavor Rehmannia Pill) and focuses on nourishing the Yin of the Kidneys and Liver to strengthen and improve vision. The Liver governs the eyes and if it is not properly nourished by the Kidneys, Yin vacuity and Heat will develop causing the Yang to rise. Over time as the Yin fluids are depleted such symptoms as red and dry eyes, poor vision, photophobia, excess tearing and night-blindness may develop. This prescription is appropriate for chronic vision problems where there is a vacuity of the the Kidney and Liver Yin. It's main function is to nourish the Kidney Yin, with herbs such as gou qi zi, bai ji li and shi jue ming added to directly affect the eyes.
