Golden Book Teapills may be used for the following:
Rehmannia glutinosa root-prep, Dioscorea opposita rhizome, Cornus officinalis fruit, Paeonia suffruticosa root-bark, Poria cocos fungus, Alisma plantago aquatica rhizome, Cinnamomum cassia bark, Aconitum carmichaeli root-prep. - Shu di huang, Shan yao, Shan zhu yu, Mu dan pi, Fu ling, Ze xie, Rou gui, Fu zi.
Because of the invigorating and warming aspects of this formula it is contraindicated during pregnancy.
However, with the appropriate TCM diagnosis this formula is sometimes used to promote fertility.
Contraindicated during the early stages of acute illness such as cold and flu, or during an acute infection. Contraindicated for conditions due to Yin deficiency.
