Chinese Symptomology | Note : The name of this formula was derived from the title of the first chapter of Zhuang Zi, "Rambling Without a Destination", which includes many stories about soaring above a restricted world view. Similarly, this formula releases constraint and encourages the free-flow of Liver qi, allowing for open-mindedness and a free or rambling spirit. Another interpretation is that the first character, xiao, a homonym for reduce, refers to reducing constrained qi, and the second character, yao, a homonym for shake, refers to shaking constrained blood. | |
