Designs For Health
GI Revive is a formula that contains nutrients which are vital for gastrointestinal (GI) health, including N-acetyl-glucosamine and L-glutamine. It provides comprehensive support to individuals with compromised nutrient absorption and poor gut function. It is also used to help combat food sensitivities and restore the proper function of the intestines. All that is achieved by providing therapeutic levels of fiber, herbs, and nutrients that soothe the gut and regulate gut permeability. As a result, the immune system works much more efficiently, enabling the body to enjoy optimal health. It is available in both powder (sweetened with organic stevia) and capsule form.
The formula not only contributes to the optimum GI function and health but also allows the gut lining to absorb nutrients while preventing microbes, allergens, and toxins from entering the bloodstream (proper gut permeability and integrity). Besides L-glutamine and N-acetyl-glucosamine, the product also contains a plethora of other ingredients, such as mucin, quercetin, okra extract, and chamomile, all known for their GI healing and health-promoting attributes.
Inside our gut live between 300-500 different kinds of bacteria. Combined with the other organisms that also reside in the intestines, such as tiny fungi and viruses, they make the microbiome (aka microbiota). Each person has its own, unique microbiome which is determined by their diet and lifestyle, the environment they were exposed to at birth, and their mother’s microbiota.
Although bacteria live throughout the body, those that line the digestive system are the most vital to our wellbeing and affect everything from the immune system to the metabolism. Research has found that when people get sick, they either have too much or too little of a certain bacteria type or have a limited range of bacteria. Given that there are both harmful and beneficial bacteria inside us, it is vital to ensure the good ones always outnumber the bad ones. Scientists have already drawn links between a long list of illnesses and the gut-living bacteria, including obesity, type 2 diabetes, ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s, heart disease, and even colon cancer, anxiety, autism, depression, and arthritis.
L-glutamine – An amino acid that is found to reduce intestinal inflammation, repair the mucosal lining in the gut, and help with repairing leaky gut.
N-Acetyl Glucosamine – It can help protect the lining of the intestines and the stomach, as well as help fight ulcerative colitis and interstitial cystitis. A compound with potent anti-inflammatory properties that is also found to help with inflammatory bowel disease and osteoarthritis.
Citrus Pectin – It is used for GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease), high cholesterol, and diabetes, as well as to prevent prostate and colon cancer and stimulate bowel movements in cases of constipation.
Deglycyrrhizinated Licorice (DGL) – An adaptogenic herb that can effectively help people with leaky gut syndrome as it can maintain the mucosal lining of the duodenum and the stomach. It also helps combat adrenal fatigue.
Aloe Vera Extract – Research has shown that aloe vera contains enzymes, minerals, vitamins, and amino acids which promote gut health and have a beneficial impact on the digestive tract overall.
Slippery Elm – It can soothe the gut lining and reduce irritation in inflammatory bowel disease cases, like irritable bowel disease, ulcerative colitis, and Crohn's disease.
Mucin – An ingredient with powerful healing qualities that can help relieve the symptoms related to Crohn's disease, irritable bowel disease, and ulcerative colitis. It also has significant anti-inflammatory properties which contribute to the protection against diseases such as type 2 diabetes and obesity. Mucin can even reverse gut barrier function.
Marshmallow root – Acting as a natural antihistamine, it helps protect from stomach ulcers, especially when combined with ginger. It also has powerful antioxidant attributes that generally support GI health as a whole.
Chamomile – It reduces the risk of specific GI conditions, protects against diarrhea, relieves gas, and soothes stomach pain. Also, it can help calm irritable bowel syndrome and other stomach illnesses.
Okra Extract – It feeds the good bacteria in the intestines and helps maintain a balance between the harmful and beneficial bacteria. Okra also protects the body from free radical damage and keeps the immune system function at optimal levels.
Cat's Claw – With potent anti-inflammatory properties, it helps combat gastrointestinal-related inflammation and treat digestive disorders, such as gastritis, colitis, IBS, peptic ulcers, and IBD.
Methylsulfonylmethane (MSM) – It improves digestion, helps get rid of metabolic wastes from cells, and contributes to the rebuild of the digestive tract lining.
Quercetin – A compound that is believed to be very effective in treating leaky gut syndrome.
Prune Powder – It helps prevent constipation-related hemorrhoids, regulates the bowel, aid digestion, and lowers the risk of colon cancer.
Zinc Carnosine – It stimulates gut repair processes, stabilizes small bowel integrity, increases gut permeability, and heals gut mucosa, stomach ulcers, and lesions in cancer patients.
Other ingredients: Silicon dioxide, vegetable stearate, and cellulose (capsule).
